The legend has it that after a shipwreck Odysseus managed to swim to the cave where he found shelter. Here, on the island of the nymph Calypso Odysseus could not resist the charms of the beautiful fairy and her island Ogygia, the charms of the sky and the sea, sun and air, woods and fields. Today the cave is known as Odysseus’s cave.

Since the entrance is narrow and low, it is possible to come in by a small boat, or even better, swim into the cave! The trip takes place once a week, from 8:30 AM till 12:30.
