Rogoznica is situated at the middle croatian Adriatic coast (34 km away from Sibenik, 50 km away from the airport of Split and 1 km away from the Adriatic coastal road), in the southernmost part of the Sibenik region.

The mall village is hidden in a bay which is part of the, in the Mediterranean sea protruded mainland of Dalmatia.

We find Rogoznica on the island Kopara. The town was during centuries isolated from the mainland till the construction of a dam connected the prosperous destination with the mainland of the croatian coast. Because of the mild climate, the picturesque coast with numerous hidden bays or inlets, the unspoilt environment, the footpaths through the dense forest along the coast line and the very friendly inhabitants, the visitor will not only enjoy of a romantical experience but also relish a pleasant refreshment. The sheltered harbour protects the village of strong wind and gales and is further suitable for water-skiing and coast anchoring.

Rogoznica is a famous fishing village, whose name is „Ribarsko Misto“ in the croatian language. In the west part, more exactly near the peninsula of Gradina, there is a salt lake with a depth of 50 m. In summer time the water temperature in the lake is some degree higher than in the Mediterranean.There are board and lodging as well as private rooms in the first category in Rogoznica.

Additionally there are 4 restaurants in the village which offer the guest on the one hand a variety of meals and on the other hand dalmatian specialities and dalmatian wines.
